Office for Teacher Candidate Preparation (OTCP)
Secondary Bilingual Education/TESOL
The secondary Bilingual Education/TESOL program prepares secondary teacher candidates in understanding multi-bilingualism in the context of schools, families, communities and society. The program critically examines issues confronting Spanish speaking student populations, including cultural and historic perspectives. Issues of equity and social justice, advocacy and family/community connections are explored.
Students interested in a bilingual or TESOL endorsement should contact the Advisement office. These endorsements can be included in an undergraduate degree program without requiring significant additional college hours.
