Don and Sarrah Kidd Conference

fullres_grants_28_091207Each year the Language, Literacy and Cultural Program in the NMSU College of Education’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction sponsors the Annual Don & Sarrah Kidd Literacy Conference.  The conference usually takes place during the Spring Semester and features speakers from around the nation.

This year, the Annual Don & Sarrah Kidd Literacy Conference is being co-sponsored as the NMSU College of Education Symposium by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and Don and Sarrah Kidd with an expanded slate of speakers – it’s going to be a great conference!

The Kidd Legacy

Kidd gift to fund literacy chair at NMSU Carlsbad banker Don Kidd and his wife, Sarrah, have given a major gift to New Mexico State University to establish the Don and Sarrah Kidd Endowed Chair in Literacy in the College of Education. The chair will attract and reward high quality teaching, research, service and outreach to New Mexico’s public schools by a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The chair also will collaborate with the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy whose focus is adult literacy.  Read more…
